This lab facility is used to perform different techniques involved in serological diagnosis of several infectious and autoimmune disease by using ELISA, agglutinations, Immunofluorescent, western blots, and flow cytometry techniques. The lab also includes all required materials and instrumentations for differential diagnosis of different hematological disorders affecting red blood cells, white blood cells and platelets. The lab also supplied with complete blood count and coagulation instruments to provide student with information regarding automation in hematological disorders diagnosis. In separated sections different experiments with applications in determination of minor and major blood group, cross matching analysis, antibodies screening and identification are also provided for teaching purposes. All practical courses in hematology, serology and blood bank are taught to students in this facility.
