Optometry Science Department

The Optometry Program is unique in that it is the first and only program at the level of private universities in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, and the department was created as one of the Faculty of Allied Medical Sciences departments in 2015. The department awards a bachelor’s degree in optometry upon completing (132) credit hours distributed over four academic years. The Department of Optometry was established to allow its graduates to work in optical centers, ophthalmology centers, optometry centers, and eye clinics in hospitals.

Our mission is to provide students with cognitive skills in various theoretical and applied fields of Optometry science and to improve their abilities to achieve competent and effective professional practices.
